How the MBBS admission merit score is calculated in Bangladesh, where the official result is published, and what to do after you see your result.
How the merit score is calculated
Written exam — 100 marks
The MBBS admission test is a 100-mark MCQ exam (Biology 30, Chemistry 25, Physics 20, English 15, and General Knowledge & Bangladesh history 10). Each wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks.
SSC GPA — up to 75 marks
Your SSC (or equivalent) GPA is multiplied by 15, contributing up to 75 marks to the merit score.
HSC GPA — up to 125 marks
Your HSC (or equivalent) GPA is multiplied by 25, contributing up to 125 marks. The total merit score is out of 300.

Written 100 + (SSC GPA × 15) + (HSC GPA × 25) = 300
After the result is published
- Check your roll on the official DGHS result portal (result.dghs.gov.bd) when results are published.
- Note your merit position — college allocation and waiting lists move from this list.
- Follow DGHS notices for admission, migration and waiting-list deadlines — dates are announced officially.
